POTABLE/SEWAGE WATER COLLECTION & ANALYSIS

Drinking water should be examined / identified for the highest potential risk to avoid further problems. We arrange for water testing to ensure crew onboard vessels under your management have access to potable water. The vessel's water is tested in accordance with MLC A3.2 as per ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

SEWAGE EFFLUENT TESTING

We carry out the test of the sewage effluent, according to the protocol requirements and standards set forth by Marpol 73/78 & resolutions MEPC.2(VI), MEPC.159(55) & MEPC.227(64) & on board 'Sewage pollution prevention certification' (for all vessels whose sewage treatment plants were in production after 1st Jan 2010).

Parameters Tested are:

  • pH
  • Total Suspended Solids
  • pHChemical Oxygen Demand (C.O.D)
  • Biochemical Oxygen Demand (B.O.D)
  • Faecal Coliform

Sewage treatment plants installed prior to 1 January 2010 on ships other than passenger ships operating in MARPOL Annex IV special areas and intending to discharge treated sewage effluent into the sea, should comply with resolution MEPC.2(VI). Adopted on 3 December 1976

Sewage treatment plants installed prior to 1 January 2016 and on or after 1 January 2010, should comply with resolution MEPC159(55). Adopted on 13 October 2006

Sewage treatment plants installed on or after 1 January 2016 on ships, should comply with resolution MEPC 227(64). Adopted on 5 October 2012
